An Ashtanga Yoga and Plant Medicine Retreat in the Sacred Valley of Peru

August 13-19th, 2023 | Samadhi Retreat Center

Florecer: to Bloom. Join us for a week of journeying inwards at the base of the Andes. We will explore our inner alchemy through the daily practice of traditional Ashtanga Yoga, weaving physical asana and breath practice with philosophy as a process for deepening your connection to yourself and the world around you. We will also work with medicinal plants and herbs for wellness, nourishment, self-care, and a deeper connection to the natural world. As we immerse in the Andean cosmovision, we will also explore the ancient wisdom of the Amazonian cultures through music and an optional plant medicine ceremony.

This is for those seeking to begin or deepen their yoga practice. The Sacred Valley is nestled at the base of the Andes, once the center of the Incan Empire and is located about an hour outside of Cusco on the way to the sacred city of Machu Picchu. A world of its own, this valley holds potent healing energies and is an international spiritual hub for yoga, meditation, and a large community dedicated to sacred plants. It is a mystical place where time slows down and magic happens, providing time for you to disconnect, root into the majestic views and nature all around, and focus on your inner world.

Samadhi Retreat Center rises up the mountainside in the center of the Sacred Valley with views of the Andean mountains all around. Samadhi is a fully equipped yoga and meditation retreat space with beautiful gardens and accommodations designed around the seven chakras. Common areas are dedicated to meditation and art and include shared bungalows, a multifunction room, a yoga shala with a dazzling view of the sacred valley, an organic garden, fire pits, and plenty of outdoor meditation spaces.
